testing until I see the doctor?

I just recently found out that I'm pregnant and my doctor won't see me until Feb 28th, I have some heavyish cramping going on down there and in the pelvic area. No bleeding no spotting no discharge, did anyone else experience cramping? I have had to be on Penicillin since I have strep throat! Does that make a difference? My doctor told me it's safe but I'm a worrier! Am I crazy to take a text once a week until I see the OB? This is my first pregnancy and I think I'm about 2-3 weeks 💗💗💗
