7 month old not eating solids

My 7 month old is stil not eating solids , he hardly swallows them and when he does he usually gags and then spits them up right away , mostly the food just pools in his mouth and he will spit it out . I've tried everything , every different type of texture and flavor and nothing is working! He nurses still like crazy and isn't cranky so I know he's full , I give him two jars of earths best organic food a day ( sometimes I make homemade baby food and give him that) but he pretty much wears it and never eats any of it! Is this normal? Any tips?  ( this is him today , he's obviously not starving or anything lol I'm just concerned)
