What to do to get baby to sleep in crib?

My daughter is 7 months old turning 8 months and still won't sleep in her crib at all what so ever. I tired at 4 months old with her to sleep in her crib but she won't have it and idk what else to do. We're in the process of weaning her off the bottle slowly and we started that at 6 months old so far still a bottle mainly. Next thing we're planing to do is get her a convertible car seat she's almost 8 months so it's time. Everything else is going a ok weaning wise except for the crib! Ugh,I need help and fast!!

Omg I was in the exact same situation last week!! We finally got our daughther to sleep in her crib all week. From 8 pm to 8 am. 🙌🏽 My daughter is 7.5 months and we put her in her rock n play up until last week. I woke up to her in the middle of the night with her sitting backwards on the edge of the rock n play. One wrong move and she would have fell backwards onto her head/back. So I knew I had to start putting her in the crib. Anyway, here's how we did it.

At 6.5 months we moved her rock n play from our bedroom, to hers. She learned to love her own room. The first 3 days were rough but after that, she didn't mind. We did this for a month until we decided to put her in the crib.

I think two of the biggest things that helps are warm baths (30 minutes before bed) and floor time. My lo spends all day on the floor crawling, playing and standing. The only time she's not on the floor is if she is eating or taking a bath. We spend the day on the floor with her as well. The more she moves around on the floor, the more tired she'll be.

When I lay her to the crib I make sure her room is warm, close her door, turn off all lights for pitch black room (no night light) and no noise, absolute silence. I hold her close to me where her head is resting on my shoulder and for about 3 minutes I take deep breaths in and out, to where it relaxes me but at the same time she can hear my breathing. I nurse her one last time and she usually falls asleep in my arms. Almost always when I lay her down, she'll wake up instantly so I lay her down on her back and I keep one hand on her chest so she knows I'm still there. Once she's had her eyes closed for at least 5-10 minutes, I put a small bean filled stuffed animal on top of her chest to take place of my hand. She often sleeps through the night. Usually when I check on her the stuffed animal hasn't even moved.

I'm having the same problem. As soon as I lay her down in the crib, she wakes up and screams and cries or wants to stand up and play. 😩😩😩

What does she sleep in now? My daughter slept in her rock and play for 6 months. Then she was getting too big so we now put her in her pack and play (still keeping her in our room). She hated that it was much harder than the rock and play so we made it softer for her (she doesn't roll while sleeping so we are not worried) and now she sleeps in it great. Not sure if that's helpful but I hope it is!

It took me a month to get my baby in the crib. And I'm not proud.. But som night I'm in there with him.

We did the whole routine thing: bath book feed bed. I would give  him his last feed and husband would  wait with him. I didn't let him "cry it out" but I wouldn't rush in right away. 5 minutes. And every night would try a minute longer. And then I started crawling in there with him until he fell asleep. I still have to do that once In awhile. But for the most part he  I'll go in there. It took a few weeks and I kept almost giving up but I am so happy I didn't.

Husband does pacifier in middle of night if he cries because we found our if I went in he wouldn't settle. Now he's been sleeping like a champ. 8-11 hours at a time. (This is a child who up to 6 months was still waking every two hours)

Also we got a white noise machine and low night light because every and anything startled him awake

I started out doing naps in the crib for a while so that he got used to it. After a few weeks we transitioned into sleeping in the crib at night!
