Tmi... What is this on my partners leg?

He's finally going to the doctors tomorrow, but what could this be? Were in Ireland and don't get big bugs or bites they're extremely rare.. It just appeared one morning and has been there for about a week. It started off looking like a blister and now it kinda looks infected

That definitely looks like an ulcer from a bite. Likely spider. Are you familiar with the poisonous spiders in that area? The wound doesn't look infected but definitely extremely inflamed (there's a difference!). The yellow film is more of a granulation tissue which is a good thing. If the wound becomes hot, pus-like with red steaks going up the leg that would be indicative of infection. Because it's on the leg it's going to take longer to heal bc our circulation is different there. Probably needs antibiotics and a wound culture! Wound nurse of 10 years here.  Good luck.

That is BADly infected open wound. The skin around it looks like cellulitis. Keep it covered with a sterile gauze from the pharmacy to keep air/bacteria out of it until you get professional help!

To me it looks like a spider bite. I can't tell from the top picture but enlarge it and see if there are 2 small indents like fang marks. Whatever it is its definitely infected and needs to be treated.

That's 100% not a spider bite. It's MRSA.

Also clean everything in your house or apartment, use bleach if possible. If it is a staff infection you need to kill all the germs otherwise you will get one too.

I agree with MRSA. Looks just like when my husband had that! Get into the doc. And don't touch it, wash both your hands thoroughly.
