Which one?

I'm going to talk to my doctor Friday about getting an IUD Friday and I want to hear from you guys! What kind of IUD do you have and what are the pros/cons? I really don't want to have a period or bleed as heavy as I usually do. That's about most important to me. I can't use Paraguard because I'm allergic to copper.

Any information would be awesome! Please help me decide!❤

I have Skyla and I love it! The first 3 months are kinda tough, and painful. But now that I have it it's the best choice I could have made. Insertion is kinda painful, but once the first few months are over, you'll never even notice. My cramps have gone down so much thank goodness!

I have the Skyla. It's smaller than the others so it's supposed to be better for younger women who haven't had children (I'm 21). My doctor told me Mirena would give me NO period while Skyla would give me lighter periods, and I chose to go with the lighter periods simply because it gives me that sense of security every month that I'm not pregnant! The hormones are low dose and only go straight to your uterus so I haven't notices any side effects besides the cramping/spotting. My first period was 10 days long of heavy bleeding and the cramping was INTENSE but it's supposed to only get better from here. Other than that I absolutely love it, can't feel it at all and neither can my partner and now I don't have to worry about birth control for another 3 years! Woohoo!

I have the mirena and love it! It was an adjustment over the first 6 weeks. I had a a lot of bleeding and some cramps. After that I haven't cramped at all and my periods are a lot lighter and shorter, my periods went from 7 days to 4 days. I don't ever notice it's there at all
