For you other mamas, when it comes to baby napping do you put your baby down to nap at a certain time or let baby do it themself?

Was wondering about this too! I let mine tell me when she's tired for now. She has one long nap starting between 11 and 2 and another shorter nap around 5.

I usually follow my daughter's cues. She's 2.5 months. I would say though from the moment she wakes up until she is ready for a nap it's about 90 mins. When she starts getting sleepy eyes or a glazed look I put her down. Sometimes she fusses for about a minute or two but after that she's out. If she doesn't seem tired I keep playing with her or nurse her if it's time. Usually after that she's ready for a nap. Hope this helps!

I try to put him down around the same time every day as to establish a good napping schedule but some days it's just a hit or miss. He's been pretty good about going down on his own lately though. And I can tell when he's tired and just needs some help going to sleep (I'll let him comfort feed for a few minutes and then he's out. Or I'll rock him a little or lay with him.) if I feel like too much time has gone by without him getting a good nap in between then I'll definitely put him down for a nap

My baby just turned 12wks, we don't have a scheduled nap time but when she does it's usually around the same times daily! She also have this whine when she's sleepy. She takes about 4/5 naps a day. She sleeps through the night but I do wake her to feed her at least twice and change her diaper

I do the 90 minutes between naps thing, except I'm still feeding him to sleep, so sometimes it just depends how long that takes. I know at 3 months (next week) we're supposed to move away from doing that, but he's so diatractable when he's fully awake. I feel like the only way he gets a solid feeding is when he's mostly asleep.

My 3 month old son doesn't have a set nap schedule. I let him take his naps whenever he falls asleep. Still, he's pretty consistent now. He usually naps in the late morning (9 or 10), in the afternoon (around 2), and then later in the evening (around 5). Sometimes he'll nap for a half hour, sometimes it's 2 hours.
