mommas who have already given birth without meds!

For your birth was it hard to prevent interventions? Like if you wanted to refuse the epidural did nurses try to convince you that you needed one? And that you needed to be or on pitocin or any other kind of meds? I am having a hospital birth but I want little intervention if possible during my labor and delivery. Of course if there are any risks to the health of my baby I will do whatever my doctor tells me to do, but I am wanting a natural birth in the hospital setting.
