My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years now, and are so thrilled to be pregnant with our first baby, he has a daughter from a previous marriage, but this pregnancy is a first for me. After about a year of marriage he said he was ready for us to have a baby, I did not think I was. And then about another year passed and I decided I was ready for us to have a baby and he was not. I waited patiently, but so desperately wanted him to be ready so that we could start trying to conceive. I still remember the night that he told me he was ready and that he wanted us to start trying. I was absolutely ecstatic! We began trying and it felt like it took forever, especially since I had been wanting to get pregnant for months before. And now here we are, I'm a little more than a month along and couldn't be happier! The nervousness of the upsetting things that could happen continue to creep into my mind, but I am trying to keep them at bay because I know that will only cause negativity and stress to my unborn baby. So I just try to stay so excited, and aside from those nerves that creep in from time to time, I am. My expected due date is at the beginning of October and I cannot wait to continue on this journey of motherhood! 💕
