Endometriosis ladies -
I am planning a natural birth with minimal interventions (I don't even want an IV) due to my experience with endometriosis and my fear of needles. I suffered BADLY with endometriosis and had crippling cramps that sent me to the floor bawling everytime for years and years. My last period before getting pregnant was like that, I got to work and begged my office manager to send me home because I could barely even stand or speak it was so painful. I used to always tell my mom that I knew my cramps were comparable to labor pains and of course she didn't believe me until I had my laparoscopy and realized the extent of my disease. Due to my experience with such intense pain, I've always wanted to go natural because I know that it's got to be similar pain and I can handle it. To me, they are different because endo cramps hit out of nowhere and strike at full force whereas contractions go gradually. I don't doubt that they are stronger but I feel like the gradual increase over time makes it easier to cope. I am wanting to know if those who have given birth before and have experienced horrible endometriosis pains can give me some thoughts on how they compare? I know every woman is different but I'd love to hear opinions.
