Big baby?

Question

We just had our 28 week appointment and was told that the baby is measuring very large. Our doctor scheduled us for a growth sonogram in 2 weeks. At our 20 week sonogram baby was measuring at 22weeks 4 days. If baby is measuring large will they change our due date? Induce early? Just trying to prepare myself.

They may want to check your sugar because high sugar can cause baby to gain weight at an unhealthy rate. But as far as induction goes some doctors hate the thought of inducing (my dr included) and some don't mind. I know my best friend just had an almost 10lb baby, and she wasn't induced she just had a c section. Really just depends on dr. Hope this helps :)

They will do a lot of measurements and check everything out. That's normally a sign of gestational diabetes.

With my first he measured MUCH bigger. I was induced a  month early because he was outgrowing my stomach and he was nearly 10lbs and 22 1/2 inches long! I didn't have diabetes or anything he was just a big baby!
