Boss Issues

Erica
I've heard through the grapevine that my boss thinks that myself and a coworker are involved romantically when we are not. First of all I have a boyfriend and am not a lesbian, second, we are like sisters and so we act as such. It's rare to find such an amazing friend. This has put a wedge in our friendship as we do not know what to do or how to act. I'm so depressed over this as she was part of my reason as to why I loved going to work so much. Her friendship made me MORE productive and now I hate being there when we are scared to even communicate while he's around. PLEASE HELP. Please give me some advice... I feel like I'm losing one of the best friends I've ever had and it hurts

Is he concerned or upset by it?

Apparently he's been making comments to my direct boss. She told me and my friend yesterday saying when he starts making comments more than once it means it's bothering him. But I don't know WHY this is bothering him when it has nothing to do with him

Why don't you confront him about this then and move on??

well honestly, I don't see it getting any better unless you actually confront your boss.

He's been making comments about us spending time together and being close. It has nothing to do with our productivity and we don't chat in the office more than anyone else does as it's all open concept. We get our work done and both work very hard. When he says jump we say how high and are great employees. I don't understand where his concerns or frustration or assumptions come from.
