What to do next?

So I am trying to decide what to do for my birth control. I have a mirana iud and in June I have to get it taken out because it will be the 5 year mark. I really don't want another one put in but I don't know any others that will be as effective and I really don't want a pill or any one that will make me gain weight because I'm already really over weight and I have been trying to loose weight. So I'm curious if any one has had the iud and what did you do after the 5 years?
