breastfeeding question
Okay...this may sound weird. So, I have a 7 month old baby. I took a bath tonight and fell asleep in the tub. I woke up and had to pee, so I just did it in the tub. I don't believe I laid back down in the water after but I was so sleepy, I'm not 100% sure.
I got out, dried off, got in pajamas, and then went upstairs to pump since my daughter was still asleep. I was still sleepy and not thinking. I did not rinse ot clean my breasts before pumping. I am concerned now if there's any chance I got bath water that may have contained urine on my breasts. I don't think I did but I honestly wasn't paying good attention. Could herpes be spread to my daughter through the milk I pumped? I'm a low supply mom so discarding any milk is heartbreaking, but if there's any potential they it's unsafe, I will. I am getting over an outbreak in my clitorus area...I don't think any urine would have come in contact with that area but I don't know if I could be shedding from other skin in the same region? I really don't think I got bath water on my breasts, but am still worried. If I did could I spread herpes to my daughter by letting her drink this pumped milk? Any thoughts are appreciated!
