pregnancy migraine... help??

Not sure if anyone else has had these, but I'm experiencing some AWFUL migraines at the moment. I just can't stand it anymore.

Does anyone have tips on how to soothe it? I've taken some pain killers but it hasn't helped this time.

My OB prescribed me fioricet, so you may ask about it. It helps take the edge off. I was also told to take magnesium oxide and riboflavin as a preventative since I had to stop taking my migraine medication once pregnant. Good luck! Hope you get some relief.

I get them. I had them when I was pregnant with my son too. Tylenol (liquid gels), ice on my head, Powerade Zero, and Benadryl so I can sleep. (Sometimes a shower before) It doesn't always take them away completely, but it does take the edge off.

Tylenol, water and a quiet dark cool room is your best bet for temporary relief. Sometimes I've packs would help me, but sometimes it would make it worse. Talk to your doctor too if none of this is helping you. They may have something they can prescribe. Good luck mama! I know migraines suck beyond belief.

You can try an ice pack behind your neck. Mine got to the point i had to ask dr for a prescription i take sparingly and only if i really need it.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. Try taking a shower laying down in a dark room.  Drink a ton of water Tylenol is the only thing that is pregnancy safe as far as over the counter pain killers go. Good luck.
