Period after Birth Control

I was put on birth control in high school for having an irregular period. I was on BC for about 6 years. I finally stopped taking it because it always made me feel bad. The first month or two after stopping it my period was semi-normal (only being late by a couple of days), and now I am 30 days late. Have any of y'all experienced this? If so, how long until you were semi-normal again?
