Did you develop gestational diabetes in pregnancy?

I don't have gestational diabetes really but rather I'm hypoglycemic. I have to follow a diabetic diet and take medicine. If the medicine doesn't work it's possible that I will need insulin. 
I got really tired after eating a small meal. I mean like pass out tired. If I don't keep my sugar between 70 and 120 risk passing out. The meds help but I still have to be pretty strict with food. 
My diabetes manager says that my case isn't really typical though. 
I started noticing something was wrong around 20 weeks. I'm now 25 weeks and I don't have to take a glucose test. Just test my sugar 4-5 times a day.
