ovulation pain one week before ovulation?

Hey there, just reaching out to see if anyone knew why this would happen? This afternoon I felt twinges the felt like ovulation pain. I am supposed to ovulate next Friday or Saturday. This is our first month TTC as I stopped my BCP  about a week ago.   Anyone know what this is? opk was negative.
