profile picture troubles

I'm trying not to get angry but this is really irritating. I'm trying to upload a profile picture and nothing is working. I pick my photo, it shows up in the middle and screen says to adjust it to fit in, BUT I DONT KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT. My profile picture keeps coming up as the corner of my face or just black. WHAT PART OF THE BOX AM I SUPPOSED TO FIT MY FACE INTO? eve please fix this 😢😢
