Unprofessional?

I'm a college student about to graduate, and a couple months ago I got an email about a woman in my area looking for an intern for her family therapy practice. I immediately emailed her (a fairly well-written informational email, imo) inquiring about the position. She emailed me back about a week later asking about my graduation date, and I responded the following morning. A couple more weeks passed, and I hadn't heard anything from her, so I emailed her again asking if she was still interested/had found someone else for the position/needed more information from me, etc... Like I said, it has been a couple months now and I never heard back anything from her... Do you think this is rude/unprofessional? It's not like it really matters that much to me now, but I just thought it was really weird and sort of rude... I would have thought she'd at least tell me she wasn't interested anymore. I was putting off applying for other positions for about a month and a half because I was *anxiously* awaiting her response... I guess I just got kind of butt hurt about it :/
