I am 29 weeks and have the stomach flu. I was up most of the night throwing up and having diarrhea. In the last few hours I've noticed about 5 Braxton hicks. Should I call and ask my doctor if I need to be worried? I'm sure she'll say just to try and stay hydrated. I'm just having trouble keeping water down.

I had that on Friday, I'm 24 weeks the only thing I could keep down was ice chips and popsicles, everything else came right back up. Try your best to stay hydrated. If it continues definitely go to the hospital.

Dehydration can cause you to go into labor. I'd call, she might tell you to go to labor & delivery to get an I.V running.

If you can't keep water down they might want you to go in and have an IV for fluids

Yes, call. I had this at 24 weeks but it was the weekend so I went to the ER. I was having regular contractions, they could see on the monitor, but hadn't dilated so they had to give me a shot to stop the contractions. I ended up being so dehydrated, they had to give me four bags of fluids and keep me overnight. Definitely get checked out before it can get that bad. Hope you feel better soon!
