How do you transition an 11 month old into crib?

Question

My daughter has been co-sleeping with us since 4 months old and co-sleeping has been working for us until now. Now that she's much more mobile, we don't want her jumping out of bed and running around once she learns she can!

I made my first attempt today but I've always had to rock/cuddle/nurse her to sleep. It was almost impossible for me to put her in her crib without waking her! How do you do it? If I leave her there she just wakes herself up sand stands up. So how idk how to attempt doing so next time. Any tips ?

I would try starting with naps laying baby down in the crib. Depending on hoe you feel about crying it out or not go from there. We would go in when she cried, picked her up, then when she was calm we put her back down. We transitioned our baby when she was almost 10 months old. Good luck, it can be a hard process, but stick with it.

Lol with my youngest son who is 16 years old now, I never put him in his own bed til he was almost 8 years old. I did although have my we year old in a crib from the time he was born. But, my husband and I have discussed not letting our little one who hasn't arrived yet, sleep by herself. He wants her in between us.
