I've been throwing up and had a head ache I'm 13 the last I had a tampon in was 4 days ago and I might of left it in for a half hour longer than 8 hours do I have TSS my parents think it's the flu but I wanted to ask someone else

It's very unlikely that you would get TSS from only 8 1/2 hours. It probably is the flu, it's going around right now and I have it, definitely is horrible.

This is kinda tmi but I had a tampon in my body for a 2 weeks and didn't get toxic shock syndrome. Idek how I forgot about the tampon but I did lol. Doctor got it out for me. It was no fun but I doubt you have TSS. I'm still alive  & it was in me for 2 weeks I think you're fine

TSS is so rare. You probably don't have it. I've sadly left a tampon in for 10 hours before and I was fine.

TSS has to already be in your body for it to be triggered by a tampon. I am unsure whether you may have it or not, but some people will never get it no matter how long they leave a tamping in. Do you feel dehydrated, exhausted? Do you have body aches?
