Am I a bad mom 😭.....?

Question

I am a first time mommy...most of the time its easy to take care of my baby but lately he has been crying so much and I've been so stressed. He is four months old. He doesn't take his pacifier he just sucks on his thumb and fist. I get frustrated when I've done everything I can with him and I out him in his room to cry it out...I've done it a lot lately...personally I don't think its wrong...but am I a bad mommy for it. Its my first baby 😭 I feed him 24/7 and change him 24/7 . My hubby doesn't help a lick...and I just want time to myself and of course he doesn't want to try to take care of the baby for a little bit. Please help 😭

It might be in my head but I swear breaking up the baby's day with a couple new activities makes a difference. I work from home so me and my babe are cooped up a lot, but I swear if she's having a fussy day for no reason and I take her for a walk outside or around the mall or anything then she's happier and easier the rest of the day.

I personally think four months is too young to cry it out. I get it's hard and overwhelming! But breath thru it. Get on your husband about helping! Don't let your baby suffer bcuz your husband can't step up and help be a dad.

I've heard about a lot of mothers who chose to let their baby cry it out! It doesn't make you a bad parent. You're not neglecting your child.

Your stressed it's okay to walk out sometimes, try doing more activities with baby like going on a walk or something, see if a family member can watch baby so you can get a little alone time and pampered your not a bad mom your doing the best you can hang in there it does get better

Most certainly not! My son is almost 7 months and we had a terrible day today. He cried for 3 hours because he was so tired and refused to nap. I was getting frustrated with him so he went in his crib and I took my dog outside to groom her. I left him there for 2 45 minute intervals before changing/feeding him again. It was doing neither one of us any good if I kept holding him. He may not have stopped crying, but we needed our space, and he eventually fell asleep. The 4th month is pretty rough too! If your baby is fed, clean, comfy temp wise, there is no problem laying them down so you can calm down.

Maybe try wearing your baby, I find I'm able to get a lot done when I put my 4 week old son in his baby bjorn carrier (managed to clean the whole house today and feel so much better for it!!! May be slightly ocd and it was driving me insane!). Also, put your baby in their pram and go for a walk, the fresh air will do both of you the world of good! Try to get out of the house, even if you just go out to get a coffee or buy nappies or window shop! Anything to make you feel like yornokd self again! I haven't had me time since bubs was born as I feed on demand and he just cries whenever my SO tried to hold him so I understand the feeling!! All the best though!!!

The three to four month stage was killer for me and my LO. Lots of crying all day long for both of us. I don't know what it was about that age, but it was really hard for me and I know how you feel. I don't know how your LO is sleeping, but getting my LO on a consistent sleep routine really helped me out. She didn't start taking long naps till after 6 months, but around four months we did some gentle CIO and taught her to fall asleep on her own (instead of me having to rock her asleep/hold her for her whole 40 minute nap), things really felt better for me. I knew I would have some time during the day where I could lay her down in her crib and know that she would sleep on her own for a bit and I could shower or eat or take a nap or even just read a book for a bit. (The book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby  really helped me out.) When you feel like you're at the end of your rope, take a deep breath, remind yourself that even good moms have bad days, and try going on walk or even just going to the store so you and your LO can get out of the house for a little bit.

You need help from you family. I agree let them cry it out but I do so with her right by me in her sleeper or in my arms. I myself just could let my babygirl be in her room alone crying. But then again I do get help from my mother and father in law along with my fiance.
