Gaining weight on the pill?

I wanna start taking the pill but my friends say that it will cause weight gain... is this true??? How can I prevent it?

I've heard it's mainly because it makes you hungrier so you eat more and that's how you gain weight ... so just be aware if your eating habits change. And, if you do gain weight, there are different forms of birth control and all that you can try. You have to find one that works for your body.

It really just depends on which brand of pill and how your body reacts to it

I've been on the pill for coming on a year and haven't even gained one kg my sister also was on the pill and never gained weight and none of my friends gained weight.

If you're worried about the weight gain talk to your doctor about different forms of birth control that won't cause it or talk about which brand of pill won't cause it
