Help....

Me n my husband have been trying for two years last month I finally gave up and started taking bc pills. Well two weeks into taking them I decide I hate taking them cus they made me feel pregnant. I missed one pill didn't remember till husband and I were making love. Decided I'll just remember tomorrow. Then two weeks later I ended my pack of pills that on vday but my husband said he still wants a baby do I didn't take my last pill on v day. I have yet to have a period. It's only been 8 days off the pill but I only took them for a month. I don't want to take a test cus every time i ever have it's bfn then Af starts. Does anyone have advice or any kind of input on the subject at hand. Could I be pregnant or is it just taking forever to start a cycle again.
