Anyone else's gems not refreshing correctly?

I'm not a premium member to make that clear before people ask but the gems that I am given aren't always working. For instance sometimes my quiz is the same and there's nothing new there for the next day or I'll get the same fact two or three days in a row. Anyone else having this issue? It's been happening for about a week and a half for me.
