Does having kids make you skinny?

My SIL who use to be chubby growing up and up until she had her first child, she became so thin. Then she had 2 more kids and got even thinner. I asked my husband how'd she get so thin and my husband said it's from having kids cause some women get chubby after having kids and some get very thin. I never heard that before...

Changing your diet due to pregnancy can have a huge effect on your weight if you didn't eat healthy before hand. That and if she breastfed that can also contribute. On top of which being a parent makes you 10x more active having to be at the beck and call of a little person. So yea its possible 😁

For some it makes them eat better knowing they have to care for a little one, breastfeeding does use allot of extra calories, and caring for a child 24/7 can often be more work than those woman did before. Any and all of those could be why women get skinnier after having babies.

Wish I was one of those women, I got FAT, but, thats my own fault because I 'ate for two' and didn't do much about it afterwards. Im changing that this time. Better late than never. 👍

No kids yet but a close friend of mine is thinner now she has a baby. She still breastfeeds and eats better. She used to hate veggies and would only eat pork.

I've lost 40lbs since getting pregnant. I wouldn't call myself thin lol but definitely smaller. Breastfeeding is a calorie burner! Plus half the time you're too busy or tired to eat haha
