So my boyfriend has a new coworker. She's pretty, and they text a lot. And I feel like they are both a good amount of invested in each other's lives.. considering they text SO much.. he's not much of a texted but I guess he's "getting to know her"? Bottom line is, I freak out pretty easy because as soon as I see that.. I call it a RED FLAG.. but I'm also over emotional 😒... it's something that is hard for me to trust with him because he's always like being friends with pretty girls... always. I hate that. They talk about her hard times and such.. Should I keep my guard up or am I over reacting?

I find it a bit odd that he thinks it's okey to build any sort of relationship with a co-worker outside of work. Especially when it seems they are quite emotionally invested in one another. That's how cheating starts. Just be careful and speak to him about it.

There was a girl at my husband's work like this.  She's single and most of the guys she knows are married.  She latched into my hubby and started texting him all the time and putting up inside jokes on his FB wall, stuff like that.  I started to get uncomfortable.

I sat down with my husband and said that his coworker's behavior was making me uncomfortable.  Some people, men and women, don't really care if someone is married or not, and that this girl was pushing the boundaries of what would be an appropriate friendship for a married and single person to have.  I asked him to make it clear to her that he is happily married.  I didn't say he couldn't be friends with her, just that there needed to be clear boundaries to their friendship.

If their friendship is making you uncomfortable, you can say something to him...just be calm and respectful.  He may not even realize he's spending so much time talking to her.

Getting jealous of her looks is a dangerous path to take, but there is legitimately in being concerned about how emotionally intimate he is with her. I would be completely honest with him about your concerns in a loving way.
