Is it worth the wait??

Question

My husband and I  want a baby, but we want to wait until we are married at least a year. Some months I hope my period doesn't come..hoping to be pregnant. Am I the only one??

We were married a little over a year before we got pregnant, and it was definitely worth waiting. Being able to focus on just each other and grow our relationship was priceless.

I always thought I would want to wait a few year after being married. But we've been together for 6 years and living together for 4 so we decided to stop preventing getting pregnant a few months into our marriage. I found out I was pregnant a few weeks later. ☺️
I went through chemo a few years ago and we weren't sure if it was going to take us a few years to conceive or not, so we decided to just see what would happen since we were financially and emotionally ready to have a baby if it happened right away.

My husband and I have only been married 5 months, we found out I was pregnant the 17th, we wanted to wait a year but at the same time if/when it happened we knew we'd be happy.

I felt the same way. I wanted to "accidentally" lol get pregnant during that first year, but I'm glad we didn't. We started trying at close to two years of marriage and it took us 9 months to get that bfp. But everyone is different, everyone has different goals that they want accomplished before the baby comes. We were able to do a lot of things during that time just the two of us and the drop of a hat, so I would just see if there is things you guys want to accomplish or places you want to go before you start!

I think it's worth the wait because you really can't get back that time when it was just you two (except I suppose after kids move out lol). My SO and I have been married 3 years when we started trying. We wanted to do some traveling and buy a house before having a baby and it's awesome that we were able to do that! Our LO is due next month and we are totally ready for this new chapter but I'll always cherish those years it was just us.

i'm glad our first year was just us. 
we initially said we'd wait 2 years but i finished my birth control - so we'll see what happens.

We wanted to wait 5 years but then we found out I had PCOS and decided starting younger was a better idea. We've been married 2.5 years now and I'm pregnant with our first.
