Baby or Gas?

May be a strange question but I'm a FTM. I'm 20 weeks but doc said wouldn't feel movement for a while because of where placenta is, so don't worry. The past couple of days I've been feeling funky stuff, but can't tell if it's baby or if it's gas. It may be hard to describe, but what do early baby movements feel like?

I assume your placenta is anterior if dr says movement will be felt later. I've got an anterior placenta and had the same confusion!  I felt movement around 18 weeks, it felt like internal tickles or light flutters but only in a few specific places (I guess where the placenta wasn't).  I also had some back pain and aches in low pelvis, which my dr said is him moving.  By 22 weeks, his movements were really clear. 
Sounds like you could be feeling movement :-)

When I first felt bub it was like a fishy swimming lol I thought it was gas and it would only happen when I would lay on my back

I felt mine move for the first time at 21 weeks and I knew it wasn't gas. I don't like how people describe it as flutters because to me, gas feels like flutters. My baby moving feels like light nudges or thumps. :)

I felt it at 14-15 weeks...random little flutters in my lower belly

Probably gas. You'll know when you feel baby it feels totally different like popcorn popping inside, you can really tell the difference.

I have an anterior placenta and before at 16 weeks I knew when there was small movements but now at 20 weeks I can’t tell if it’s gas from bloating after let’s say Eaton cereal or the baby 😅

First time moms don't feel it at 10-14 weeks and anyone who says they did first time around is confused and felt gas. They're too little and your uterus is too firm to be feeling it that early. Second time moms feel everything a lot earlier because they're already stretched out and have felt it before. I've felt it since 18 weeks or even 16 but 18 weeks was strong kicks and so on with my third.
