husband doesn't take up for me

So I disagreed with something my husbands friend did and he started talking to me like I was literal trash. What did my husband do? He just sat there. He did absolutely NOTHING! I later confronted my husband about it and he got all pissy and said "he's my friend! I agree with you (about the subject of the argument) but I'm not gonna go off on my friend!" So you're just gonna let him talk to me that way. Anyways he walked out of the room bc he didn't wanna argue about it which is normal for him.
