breastfeeding and pumping?

I'm a stay at home mom but would also want to build up my milk supply... I'm nursing my daughter (2 weeks old) about every 2-3hrs on demand... I'm only pumping about 1-3 times a day or to relieve my breast...

how many times should I be pumping a day, considering I'm nursing my baby already?

I'm a SAHM and pump when I feel like it or have the time lol I started to hate it. I would nurse the pump then it's like my husband wants to touch me ugh you all need to back off! lol I enjoyed breastfeeding and not stressing about getting an over supply of milk.

I don't pump. I ebf my 5 month old and have never had a supply issue. She still eats every 2ish hours because I offer, she can go longer but I enjoy the snuggle time and she never turns me down.

I started pumping as soon as my milk came in. I decided to pump twice a day, at 10 am and 10 pm. It took me 12 weeks to fill a deep freezer, then I stopped because I ran out of room.

Pumping before six weeks isn't recommended unless you are exclusively pumping. It could cause a plethora of issues before your supply regulates such as plugged ducts, mastitis & abscess. It's supply and demand. The more you pump & feed the more you make. Your body won't be able to keep up.
