Bedside cosleeper/bassinet/or pack n play 20 inches high?

Question

Can anyone help me out? My bed is short at about 20 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress and I would love to have my baby right next to me while I sleep but not in bed with me. Just while he's a newborn. Does anyone have a recommendation? I can't afford anything over 150$ but I would still take it into consideration if there aren't any other options. Maybe if you can measure your bassinet/cosleeper /pack n play and let me know the height that would be awesome

I use a great fisher price pack and play, it's flat enough for her to sleep in and be safe, but not completely flat. We just swaddle her and put a cap on her head if it's chilly. It's great, rocks to soothe her and was pretty inexpensive! Had a bassinet too but returned it because she didn't like how flat it was I don't think!

I found a bedside bassinet /sleeper on Pinterst that you can make.  Looks very easy.  I suggest you get another matress to raise your bed up. Maybe an old one from friends and family member and use it as a box spring.

I'm having the same issue. I got a lullago and it sits fairly low. You can buy bed risers for cheap at Walmart too.

Haha wow. So not gonna use a regular basins then. I can be very clumsy in the middle of the night. Fortunately my so's sister has a bed side one we can use since the baby will be too big when ours is born and we can use it ither wise I would have him made me one. But I have a bassinet from a friend im gonna use in the day time. So baby dont roll across the bed.

Bassinets suck. My babies hated them we will be building an attachable baby bed for ours until she sleeps through the night. I just found one I liked, showed my husband a picture and asked him to build it for me. I think you can buy them to but they're a little pricy.

I would not recommend a bassinet. Both my kids hated it, plus they outgrow it so quickly. A pack n play you will use much longer, even as they outgrow it for sleeping you can still use it when baby is mobile and you need to get housework done, or take it to the park etc.
