What would you do?

So my boyfriend and I have been struggling for about a month. But he's been unhappy in this place for almost a year. He hasn't made a friend and only just got a job he liked. Our lease is up in July and we definitely want to move. He has his best friends in WA and so do I and there is so much to do there career and otherwise for both of us. But he can't separate his general unhappiness from our relationship. He says he wants to work it out and his favorite solution is for us to move together. But I am having a hard time feeling good about it when I know he has been talking to his friends about moving with out me. So has anyone gone through this? We have been dating for a year- is this normal for that stage? Did you make it? Just need some sister advice because I don't have one I trust!
