Who ate lunch meat while pregnant?

I'm not going to lie I've done it occasionally not syncing and today I just picked up a lunch meat sandwich from the gas station for lunch at work and it's all I had to eat and I was just thinking oh yeah....why should I do being Prego I have to put food in my body or I will get all shaky and weak

🙋🏼 you ladies on here need to calm down. Pretty much anything is just fine as long as it's fresh. If you're trying to avoid listeria you don't need to eat anything since it can be on nearly everything. Doctors really need to update the 'no' list.

I did my last pregnancy and I still do now. As long as it's fresh and from a clean source, and stored properly it's fine.

Most of us are immune to the listeria anyway. That's why we don't get sick when not pregnant. If u trust the source to be clean and sanitary, then there really is no worry. I ate lunch meat from the grocery deli counter, subway, and a lunch deli place while pregnant. All three of my boys are fine

I'm scared to with all the articles about listeria. However my husband said I ate sandwiches during my first pregnancy, but I honestly don't remember. 🤔 I'm so paranoid that I'm going to ask my dr at my next appt on the 21st. But the cravings for jersey mikes have been killing me. 🙄🤤😫

I've craved sandwiches pretty much all the way through my pregnancy. Providing you're careful about where you're buying from you'll be fine

I do.  But it's the package kind not the stuff from the deli

I would get it heated or grilled before eating it. One time I accidentally ate a hotdog. It smelled so delicious that I just grabbed it and ate it, then realized what I did.
 
They tell you to avoid lunch meat to avoid food poisoning. I don't think it's bad to eat a sandwich with lunch meat once in a while
