Boy Problems :/ advice PLS

Ok so there this guy my age that i work with. we had been flirting for a couple weeks and were talking after work the tiger day, and he kissed me. me being your typical teenage girl, told my friends because i had told them about this guy before. well apparently it SOMEHOW got back to him, not surprised because we live in such a small town, but now he's kinda mad that i told people. do you think this is because he was just looking to hook up or is he ashamed ?? really confused because just last week he assured me it was more than just a hookup. am i being played ?? pls give opinions/advice :///
