my mother ?

Okay ladies tell me if you think this is crazy or if she overprotective a little too much. 
So every since I was in high school I would always tell me mom where I'm going and if I got to school all that stuff. Now that I'm out of high school and in college and I'm 19 turning 20 this year,  my mom still wants me to tell her when I get to places such as, work, school and when I'm going out to hang with my friends. Last night she started yelling at me and cursing at me  when she got home because she thought I was mad at her because I hung up the phone after we were done talking. It was strange. & then today my professor cancelled class so I got to sleep in. And my mom is calling down my phone and texting me ask me what time I'm going to get up to go to the bank and put gas in my car ????. I'm trying to understand why does it matter what time I'm going to run my errands outside, mind you guys, she's at work calling me to find out when I'm going outside.  Tell me what you ladies think

That's normal for a kid/teenager, but she needs to start letting go. This is helicoptery behavior at this point. Have an honest talk with her; she might be a little pissed at first, but she'll come around. Keep in mind she doesn't do this because she thinks you're incompetent, but because she's scared about you getting hurt.

My mom does the EXACT same thing. It doesnt bother me most time but others im annoyed. My sister lives away from home at college and Im jealous of her freedom I guess you could say. But if she works midnight shifts my mom makes her text her when she gets home. Mine is everywhere. I text her when i go to school, work anywhere, and text her when i get home. It gets annoying but its for her comfort. She wants to make sure im safe and if that gives her peace of mind then ill do it.

In this day and age of abduction and so many crazy people that end up missing and dead especially college age girls. Or girlfriends and wives. You can't blame her. I'm 38 and my mother still blows up my phone. She lives with me. And still thinks I'm 12. Wants me home by midnight. I tell her where I am out of courteousness  to her and she has separation anxiety. She will always be your mother. She will always want to look out for you and be protective. And I'm guessing she would rather you run your errands during the day than rather at night. She may be lonely and have empty nest syndrome. She wants to connect with you. After the kids are all gone you focus on them and marriages tend to fall apart and you have nothing to talk about and have to start over again with a man you hardly know since all you ever did was focus on the kids. And if she's a single mom same thing. She's lonely and misses you and wants you to be safe. You feel she's being overbearing and intrusive. She doesn't see it that way. You will always be her child. Just be patient. That's all you can be. I worked 12 hours yesterday my mom called 8 times, I just checked my call log. Either talk to her and let her know how you feel or spend time with her more often if you can or she needs to get some friends to occupy her time or a man :-). Good luck.

I think it's definitely a mom thing, but only depending on where you're from and how you were raised. My mom did that to me my freshman year of college for the first couple of weeks, but she didn't realaly have to worry about me because of factors like I'm a good student, I lived 5 minutes away from classes, I didn't have any friends, she's had kids who have gone to college before, etc. Maybe your mom thinks you're lazy or you don't wake up on time or you need help scheduling things? When I'm at home and working my mom always asks if I've woken up and gotten to work on time and things like that. Your situation is a little weird because you're almost 20, though
