When did you start putting your LO in their own room?

When did you start putting your LO in their own room for their day time naps? My little boy is 7 weeks old and he sleeps in our room on the evening in his moses basket or crib. When should I start putting him in his room for his day time naps I just want to get him used to his cot before we take him out of his Moses basket x

I put her in her own room when she started to wake up from noises I made, for example when I walked in to the room to go to bed.

My LO has never slept with me, from the time we brought him home he's slept in his bassinet and now his crib in his own room. He's 8 months and does just fine.

6 months, during the day up until then, she napped wherever. And slept with us at night. At 6 months I started having her nap in her room to get used to it, and transitioned her into her crib at night around the same time.

My son at 16 months is still in our room. I love having him close and knowing he is OK during the night, I was way to neurotic to have him in another room while he was really little and now we're all used to it. It is recommended to have them in your room for the first year as it reduces sids risk. But you should do what works for your family, some people can't sleep because if the baby noises and some babies get woken easily by noises.
