Using a doppler - my experience!

I recently bought a doppler because my husband and I have had 2 mmc. I just wanted to let other soon to be mom's out there know that the first time I used the doppler it took me 45 minutes to find the heart beat. I was finding my hb and the swooshing (which is about 120bpm and I've read that is an artery). When I finally did find the baby's hb it was not registering on the screen as it was so faint that the doppler couldn't pick it up. I started counting the beats that I heard and timed it on my phone.

Please don't give up hope if you can't find the hb right away. It is worth it in the end to be patient or try again another day! Don't panic :)
