placenta - does it hurt?

Does it hurt when the placenta comes out? Stupid question maybe but I'd like to know...

I thought it was heaven compared to a head coming out of my vagina! Like a squishy soothing cushion lol..

My sister said it was a weird feeling because she felt it unfold like a tortilla lol but no pain from it coming out just pain from them pushing her belly to get it out

I didn't even know mine was coming out. Not sure if that's due to the epidural or the fact that they had just handed me my son and nothing else mattered!

doesn't hurt. it feels like a giant blood clot passing... so weird I guess would be a good way to describe it? but not painful. now-- I never had any issues with my placentas and I have a friend who did, so I don't know if it's different when there's complications... but if everything is fine, no pain.

I didn't even feel it! I had to ask my doctor if it was out lol I was too caught up with my baby to notice 😉

Not at all. I was also worried about this, but be assured it's nothing to worry about. The midwife had me cough a few times to "push" the placenta out.

No! It's the best part of birth!! You have one more contraction after baby is out and with it come the placenta! It feels so reliving and magical!!

I don't think it did. I had an unmedicated birth so it hurtlike hell but once my daughter was in my arms I didn't notice the placenta or being sewn up.
