bf's friends making racist comments about me
My boyfriend is Korean, I'm Salvadoran. We've been dating for a while now,however we do long distance since our universities are far.
Yesterday he asked his friends if they wanted to meet me & they started making racist jokes and comments.
Here's how the convo went.
"Hey guys, I might bring my gf to hang out with us, she's pretty nervous so be nice to her ok?"
Friend 1: "nah, I'm going to be messed up to her"
Friend 2: #buildawall
Bf: wtf, she's not even Mexican. She's Salvadoran and her family was born here.
Friend 2: I don't care, they're all a bunch of Mexicans to me.
My boyfriend never responded to them (this was in a group chat) but he sent me the messages.
I feel like crap, my boyfriend said he wants to stop talking to them but I feel horrible.. bc I feel like he'll lose a friendship bc of me. am I over reacting? What would you do in this situation?
