If this applies: Why do you leave your journal lying around?

I've got a sister who leaves hers around because she knows her guy will read it and that it can start a discussion. Her guy thinks that's a standard hint from women. My aunt says she reads her kids if they leave them around, basically for the same reason. I leave mine lying all over because I trust that people will stay out of it and I would probably be a pretty angry if someone got into it! I'd like some opinions. :)

Me and my mom have held journals over the years but we've never read them if we see them laying around. My grandma snoops though which is irritating as hell. I don't think they should be read. And a hint? Don't get it. Whatever happened to actually communicating?

I don't leave it around anymore! Lol when I was in the first grade, I left it laying around. I had written in it that I have a crush on a boy named Devin who was in my class. My brother took it and read it to all of our neighbors and I was so distraught. That was the end of that lol I don't really write in a journal anymore. I do on occasion but I keep it hidden.

I have a few different journals. 2 get left laying wherever I last write in them, because if they get read it's no big deal. One does not get left laying around though, and I would be highly upset if I found someone reading it without permission.
