Bleeding returns 4.5 weeks PP?

I am 4.5 weeks post partum. My vaginal bleeding stopped at 2 weeks pp and now since yesterday I've been bleeding red blood. Not a lot, but every time I wipe and it was enough to fill a pad overnight. I don't think it's my period returning as it's red blood and not my normal brownish red. Any ideas? Should I go to doctor? I'm not in any pain.

I'm 6 weeks pp and just stopped wearing a pad yesterday. But my bleeding has been continuous (not heavy) since delivery. Go ahead and call OB, but I don't think it's cause for panic.

My bleeding like that has always been my period returning. Like clockwork. I know my body too well for it to be anything else.

It's normal to stop and restart again several times.
