help please!!! mucus plug? no gross pics (:

As of Tuesday at 38 weeks at my ob appt I was 2 cm dilated & 50% effaced.. next day, it was wednesday & I started having globs of mucus come out when I wipe.. & im still experiencing this! It's Friday! Every time I wipe since Wednesday there is a huge glob of mucus. I'm feeling super crampy too. Could this be an infection? Or a sign labor is near? I'm so confused. Please help. What was your experience with mucus plug? I've had no blood yet
