What age did you first take kiddo to movies?

Really wanting to go see Beauty and the Beast next week but having issues finding a sitter. The movie is after our 14month olds bed time so was thinking grab a binkie and her blanket and she would sleep through it??? I know it's a stretch but really wanting to see it in theater.

I brought my first daughter to a movie when she was a few months old but she wouldn't stay quiet every time the scary music would play. I had to step out way too many times. I took her for her first kids movie before she was two, the dollar ones they do in the summer. But she did not last the whole time. My second daughter has been to the movies three times since she was born, she is five months now, so we could take my now four year old. I wear her and she sleeps the whole time. But it's been to kids movies, I haven't taken her to a grown up movie.
I would wait until the movie has been out for a while if you are going late at night, so you don't disrupt others or go during the day when others are bringing their kids. I can't wait to see this one too with my older daughter. But I'm thinking we will probably do a mommy daughter date with grandma too and leave the baby with nana.

Just looked at the cost of a child's ticket. Yep not gonna take the kid with me. $9 for her to slee through a movie is just, nope not happening. Now I understand why there was a vote for older than 7... cause by then they might appreciate the treat.
