Getting IUD after birth

Had my baby a month ago. Six week check up is in 2 days. I need to decide on BC. Don't want to have a baby for at least 5 years. The IUD seems good but just wondering how its been for women after giving birth? Can you SO cum in you without risk of pregnancy or is pulling out still best? Can he feel it? Does it hurt to get?
