TO DO LIST. How should I do mine?

Just writing things out aint working. I end up procrastinating or start doing something else at the same time, basically become easily distracted. I'm also a single mom. But thats all I've been doing is being a mom. I'm in a rough spot too that I'm trying to get out of.

How should I better implement time management with my daily to do lists?

Is creating a time to start something, like for example 9am Clean the kitchen, and then put on a timer and give myself 20 minutes to clean the kitchen, then after move on. Is this a good idea?
