Yeast Infection, UGHHHHH

Has anyone ever tried soaking a tampon in organic coconut oil and leaving it in over night to cure a yeast infection? Did it work? How long did it take to clear up? Did you have to do this for an extended period of time? My friend recommended this as a natural way to cure a yeast infection, but I'm a bit skeptical so any tips you guys can give me would be great!
