Freaking out.

So light spotting is normal, light pink or brown. And I told myself that for the last 2 weeks. This morning I woke up to bright red, heavy amounts of bleeding. I debated waiting until my appointment on Tuesday, but it was a lot of blood. So I called and got into my Dr right away today. Blood test showed high levels of hcg. She did an ultrasound.

A little background is that I had a mirena up until right after Christmas. My Dr told me my uterus rejected it and that's why I was in so much pain. After the iud fell out, my husband and I decided to try again for a baby. I had a positive pregnancy test on Feb 1st, followed by about 4 more positive tests later that week. The ultrasound today should have measure the baby at around 10 weeks. The fetus is only measuring 6 weeks. Fetal cardiac activity present but not strong. She told me she couldn't find any reason for my to be bleeding so much. And that I should follow up with her on Tuesday!

I left the office with no reassurances... no idea what is happening inside my body. She didn't say miscarriage, or that the baby might just be growing slowly. She said I don't know. Call me if you bleeding gets any worse. And don't do much activity this weekend.

I am freaking out! Nothing happens like this in my 2 previous healthy pregnancies. Any advice?
