how do you all manage keeping your home in order?

I am always cleaning in my spare moments, late night, early morning before work, cleaning up as I go and on the weekends and I swear it's undone before I turn around! I have a 3 year old and a 1 month old and work 50 hours a week. I feel like my house is always a mess and  why I even bother to clean sometimes 😂 it's not dirty just messy! It wasn't like this before I got pregnant with me second so I'm like howwww?  because I'm always cleaning toilets, dishes, floors etc. but how do y'all do it? I need answers!

Can I consider this a safe space??? Don't feel bad because I'm the worst housekeeper ever. I have two German shepherds (and a yard so dirt up the wazoo), a cat, and a newborn, white carpets and a 3000 sq ft house. So how do I keep it clean? I let the fur and dirt accumulate until the shame literally overtakes me.....Then I call a maid 😂
My husband and I admit organizing only happens when someone is coming from out of town to stay. Otherwise the answer to, "where is ____" is, "in that smaller pile to the left on the table. No, the other small pile. Move the dog's toy. Yeah, there you go."

Unless someone is coming over during the day or the mess is driving me batty, I don't clean until after my LO goes to bed. I toss everything in her toy box, put books back on the shelves, and put everything back in its place before I relax for the evening. My husband does the dishes and I'll wipe down the kitchen with a Clorox wipe if the counters are messy. We recently got a little hand vaccuum to take care of small messes during the nightly clean up instead of having to drag the vaccuum cleaner out four times a week. It's much easier to tidy when the LO is asleep and I like coming out to a clean room in the morning. (My bedroom, on the other hand, hardly ever gets cleaned because I only sleep in there and no one ever sees it haha)

If you're feeling overwhelmed by toys, you could try boxing half or so of them up and only let your kids play with some of the toys during the day. You can swap out the toys with the ones in the box every couple of weeks and then the toys will feel new and exciting to your kids because it's been a while since they've played with them.

Confession time. I'm a stay at home mom to a 3.5 month baby boy and our cat. Nothing ever gets done. Ever. Lol my son never ever lets me put him down and by the time I get a rare 5 minutes I just want to eat and pee. Hubby tries to help but he works so much. So I don't expect much out of him. His main chores are trash and litter box. I figure I'll have a clean house when all the kids move out. So eh. About 20 years. Lol

Do what you can and try to put things back as soon as you are done using them. And a monthly (or more often) cleaning service is a must. 👌

Hire a maid or cleaner. I used care.com. Best decision I ever made. She comes x2/mo and deep cleans. We do every day straightening after the kids go to bed.

My husband will play and feed our 16 month old son in the morning before he goes to work. This allows me to make breakfast, start a load of laundry, unload previous nights dishes and load up breakfast dishes and straighten the house. Once hubby leaves I focus on play and development with our son, or we take a walk or head down to a Gymboree class. When he's ready to nap I take it easy, read a book, etc. once he's up we have lunch and play before we head out to the park and then picnic with daddy. He sleeps again and I will clean up lunch dishes and decide on dinner. I take it easy and he gets a snack when he gets up. We play and I start dinner. He and I eat together and then daddy gets to play  while I clean up dinner. On weekends my hubby will play or take him to Gymboree and I vacuum the house, dust etc.
